Synopsis:

The fate of Ghilla seems marked: has been drawn by lot by the village elders to feed a monstrous creature that lives deep in the forest and that quarterly claim a victim. If not met, the creature, nicknamed the Inhabitant, kill all the members of the village. 
What Ghilla doen't know is that on the night of his sacrifice forces outside his understanding will act at her side, pushing her into a spiral of horror and magic destined to change his life and the story of the world she know. 

"The Inhabitant" is the first story set in the world of Eghemon, world that returns in the homonym series of novels.
